is a new biotech incubator where a community of biotech innovators and scientifically-minded citizens can share an environment, equipment, and ideas with one another. Harlem Biospace (Hb) not only offers affordable shared wet-lab space for biotech entrepreneurs, but Hb is also launching several educational initiatives for youth. As labs and hands-on science are cut from schools, Hb helps to bridge the gap in Harlem. One initiative, HYPOTHEkids, teaches children using the scientific method beginning from the hypothesis and ending with data analysis. The program is dedicated to teaching young children to think like scientists using an inquiry-based pedagogy.
