The beginning of 2013 marked Wikipedia's 12th "birthday," and Wikipedians gathered in the technology and art-filled classroom spaces of New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) in Manhattan. Wikipedia Day happens near the anniversary of Wikipedia's public launch every year. The goal of the event is to celebrate Wikipedia, explore its possibilities, encourage new people to begin editing Wikipedia, and to brainstorm ways to make Wikipedia better. One of the main philosophies behind the event is that anyone can be a Wikipedian, and the more people who join, the better Wikipedia will be. Have something to say about Wikipedia?
